Overview
My name is Tamara Higgins. I am currently a partner with SECTOR Consulting Group (www.sector-team.com), a workforce education company, alongside my husband. I believe that sharing my knowledge through SECTOR is valuable; however, I do not stray far from my love of buildings and the healthy balance that working in this industry brings me. I also have a Regional Managing Director role for the central region of PBK Architects (dba BEAM Professionals, www.beamprof.com), a 9-Pillar consulting firm in the AEC industry.
From engineering to operations, with a seller-doer mentality, I have spent over 30 years in the building enclosure spectrum. With the #1 failure of buildings and litigations being the enclosure (6-sides of the box), it is critical that we have professionals who can help the developers, architects, and construction team ensure the building enclosure is exceptional and free from construction defects. I have worked with and managed several teams of engineers, architects, contractors, and support staff in the realm of forensics, existing buildings, and new construction. Being an entrepreneur, along with various levels of management, I have found that building trusting relationships is the root of everything. Sometimes this is through having a common goal, problem solving, or knowledge sharing. With the right team in my corner, these skillsets led to larger accomplishments along the way.
